FIT to honor Webster

New York — Nancy Webster, who joined Thomasville Furniture Inds. last fall as president and CEO, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fashion Institute of Technology here.
Webster, who was a top executive at Target stores and for fabric companies Springs Inds. and Fieldcrest Cannon before joining Thomasville, will be among the honorees at FIT's annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast on April 4.
Others to be saluted are Alan Gladstone, chairman, president and CEO of Anna's Linens, who will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award; Carl Goldstein, vice president of S. Lichtenberg & Co., Humanitarian Award; and Marvin Traub, president of Marvin Traub Associates, Distinguished Leadership Award.
The Fashion Institute of Technology is a college of art and design, business and technology of the State University of New York. It offers a program in Home Products Development, including furnishings, accessories and textiles.
