Hurricane, Utah — Boulevard Home Furnishings is adding to its distribution capacity with a new $8.4 million warehouse here, scheduled for completion in May.
"We've been able to more than double the size of our operations over the past five years," said Dave Waters, project manager for the retailer. "The market we serve has really grown as well as the demand for our products. The new state-of-the-art distribution center will be better equipped to store and improve the flow of product."
The current distribution center in St. George, Utah, has been sold.
Boulevard Home Furnishings, established by the Wittwer family in 1974, has stores in St. George and in Mesquite, Nev. It plans to open a third showroom in Cedar City, Utah, in 2008. Boulevard offers furniture, electronics, appliances and floor coverings.
The new two-story distribution center will have a 130,000-square-foot warehouse, furniture and appliance repair shops, office space and a workout facility. Eighty of the company's approximately 200 employees will be based there.
