Haleyville, Ala. — Case goods producer Harden Mfg. has restructured its management team after its recent acquisition and recapitalization by Linsalata Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm.
As previously announced, Ken Smith continues as president and chief operating officer while Craig Smith moves from vice president of sales and marketing to CEO, succeeding their father, Joe Mac Smith, who has retired.
Sarah Smith continues as showroom designer while Terry Furr is merchandise manager.
Lee Scott moves from national sales manager to Craig Smith's spot as vice president of sales and marketing. Reporting to Scott are three newly appointed sales managers: Danielle Grimes, Southeast territory; Doug Pickard, Northeast, and Brett Tilley, Midwest.
Tilley is the first employee to be trained in Harden's internship program. He rotated between jobs at the company during his senior year at the University of Alabama Birmingham, including time at furniture markets and on the road with sales representatives. He joined the company full-time after his graduation in July.
Harden sells U.S.-made and imported case goods, and has an 85,000-square-foot warehouse here and a 30,000-square-foot facility in La Crosse, Va.
