Eleven reps, managers complete January CHR course from IHFRA

High Point — Eleven home furnishings sales representatives completed the latest Certified Homefurnishings Representative course here, held in January.

The CHR course is an intensive, weeklong program offered by the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn., emphasizing business principles, professionalism and skill development. The seminar series first was offered 39 years ago and has continued to evolve to meet the changing demands of sales professionals.

Attending the six-day course were representatives and sales managers from Fairfield Chair, Lea Inds. and Chromcraft.

Instructors included Bob Groters, president of Klingman Furniture; Bill DiPaolo, former vice president of the International Home Furnishings Center and chair of the IHFRA Education Task Force; Dr. Al Bates, founder and chairman of the Profit Planning Group; Joe Capillo, senior consultant for Profit Consulting; and Joe Carroll, publisher of Furniture/Today.
