High Point — Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. has promoted Lisa Shankle to the new position of director of buyer services. She reports to Thomas Mitchell, president and general manager in High Point.
"When Lisa joined MMPI in 1998, she brought nearly 20 years of experience as the GM of the Holiday Inn at Market Square (in High Point)," said Mitchell. "That experience will be very valuable to our customers."
Shankle became a project manager during the construction of the Suites at Market Square, and later Plaza Suites in 2001. She became director of lease administration in High Point in 2003.
In her new role, Shankle is the key point of buyer contact, focused on building relationships with retail buyers and ensuring they are well served while attending the High Point market.
