Pennsylvania House hires Chilton, promotes Halvorsen

Greensboro, N.C. — Retail veteran Larry Chilton has joined supplier Pennsylvania House as director of marketing.
He will report to Tom Halvorsen, who has taken on added responsibility with a promotion to senior vice president of sales and marketing. Previously, he was senior vice president of sales at the La-Z-Boy division.
Chilton comes to Pennsylvania House from retailer Wood-Armfield in High Point, where he was general manager/merchandising manager. Wood Armfield/Utility Craft ranked at No. 95 last year on Furniture/Today's Top 100, with estimated furniture, bedding and decorative accessories sales of $64.5 million.
"Larry is a seasoned veteran of our industry, having spent 25 years on the retail side of the business," said David Sowinski, president of Pennsylvania House. "His expertise in retail operations and marketing will enable him to develop the programs and tools that our dealers will need to leverage the Pennsylvania House brand and drive our business."
