Gold + Williams promotes Hipp, Barr

Taylorsville, N.C. — Manufacturer Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has promoted Ken Hipp and Garrett Barr to new vice president positions.
Both were instrumental in the completion of a major systems implementation at the company last year.
Hipp has been named vice president of customer services with responsibility for customer care, scheduling and shipping, and information technology. He has been with the company five years and previously was director of customer care and scheduling.
Barr, who has been with MG+BW for seven years, has been named vice president of purchasing and costing. He was director of purchasing and costing. He adds Bill Lattimore, a member of the company's product development team who is responsible for purchasing and sourcing of case goods, as a direct report.
"Both Ken and Garrett have demonstrated remarkable personal growth during their years with the company," said Mitchell Gold, co-founder. "They have elevated their respective departments to where they are now, and have made it possible for Bob and I to focus on other areas."
