HIGH POINT -- John Phillips has resigned as executive vice president of sales for Italian leather manufacturer Natuzzi Americas.
Phillips, based in Canada, had been with the company since August 1999. Regional vice presidents Bob DeSantis (East) and Hugh Landes (West) had reported to him.
Previously, Phillips worked for Spring Air, King Koil, Sears and others.
“It was a wonderful and very productive 6 1/2 years (at Natuzzi), during which time I was able to make a very considerable contribution,” Phillips said. “It was also a time of tremendous personal growth. I am looking forward to finding an appropriate opportunity which will enable me to both build on my success and to continue my personal growth over the last few years.”
Said Natuzzi President Fred Starr, “John really made some substantial contributions. We thank him and we wish him good luck.”
A replacement will be announced soon, Starr said.
