Warren, Mich. — Top 100 chain Art Van Furniture has promoted Bill Kennedy, Brian LackandLinda Reck to store managers.
Kennedy, the new manager in Westland, Mich., has more than 30 years of retail experience.
He joined Art Van in 1994 as an assistant manager and has held management positions in several locations, most recently in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Lack has moved from managing the Howell, Mich., store to fill the vacancy left by Kennedy in Ann Arbor.
Lack started as a sales associate in 1993 and became an area sales manager in 1994. He has held management positions in several stores.
Reck left her store management position in Bay City, Mich., to take over the Howell store.
She joined Art Van in 1988 as a sales associate. She was promoted into management five years later and has run stores in several locations.
Classic Leather
Hickory, N.C. — Preston Mitchell has joined manufacturer Classic Leather as an independent sales representative.
He is based in San Francisco and is responsible for dealers in northern California and northern Nevada.
He reports to Guy Holbrook, vice president of national sales for Classic Leather/Statesville Chair.
