Alpharetta, Ga. — The Hettich family has bought back the 27% of shares necessary to once again make the Hettich Group 100% family-owned.
Company division Hettich America, based here, is a supplier of furniture hardware products.
After buying back shares held by third parties, Anton Hettich and his sons, Andreas and Rainer Hettich, hold 82% of the shares, with the remaining 18% held by other family members. It is the first time in 19 years that the family has sole control.
"In the future, when a product says Hettich on the label, consumers can be assured that it is 100% Hettich," Anton Hettich said at the company's 75th anniversary celebration, when he announced his plan to buy back the company shares.
He chairs the group's advisory board, while Andreas is managing director of Hettich Holding GmbH & Co. and Rainer is managing director of Vitanas GmbH & Co. KgaA, Berlin.
