Dedola sets faster delivery on small import quantities
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 19, 2006
Greensboro, N.C. — Transportation company Dedola International is launching a service it calls LCL Express, to quickly deliver less-than-container load quantities of imported product.
Dedola said the new option, using ocean freight and expedited ground transportation, can cut six to 10 days off the usual Asia-to-East Coast ocean freight delivery time of 30 to 32 days.
LCL Express also ensures delivery at a specific time, and can be a cost-effective alternative to air freight, the company said. The option can be especially useful in getting goods to events like the High Point market, said President Marc Dedola.
"The market is an important event for our furniture customers, and we continually identify solutions to strengthen their supply chains and allow them to be successful," he said. "Our LCL Express service is an extremely valuable option for our customers who must meet the demands of the High Point market while watching their costs."
Dedola International provides global logistics services, managing and coordinating freight movements by air, land and sea.
