Greensboro, N.C. — Fabric sales veteran John Shane has been named to represent velvet specialist DeBall Inc. in North Carolina.

He replaces Merrel Wilkenfeld, who retired after a long career in the industry.

Shane also represents Diversitex, Molteni & Co. and Zanav through his company, Shane's Decorative Sales.

WithIt

Greensboro, N.C. — WithIt, the organization dedicated to the support and development of female professionals in the home industries, has named new ambassadors for outstanding recruitment efforts.

Robin Campbell of Stanley Furniture was named Annual Ambassador for 2005, bringing five new members on board. Campbell serves as WithIt's chairman for 2006 after her 2005 term as president.

Lifetime Ambassadors, who add at least 15 home industry professionals to the WithIt roster in a given year, include 2005 inductees Mary Leigh Wallace of Trone Public Relations; Kathy Wall of The Media Matters; Karen Wade of RHR International; and Kathi Cunningham of Four Hands. Wall also serves as president of WithIt's 2006 board of directors.

WithIt ambassadors will be honored at this year's WOW Awards Dinner, slated to coincide with the organization's annual Educational Conference Aug. 29–30. A location has not yet been chosen.
