Mervyn Stuart Rabin, industry veteran
Los Angeles — Mervyn Stuart Rabin, a business consultant for several furniture manufacturers, has died at age 62.
In recent years, Rabin was national sales manager for Kushwood Mfg. and vice president of sales for John Boyd.
In 2001, he launched MSR Consulting. As owner and president, he was a consultant to American West Transportation and coordinated furniture transportation for several manufacturers and retailers.
He served as a director with the California Furniture Manufacturers Assn. and was an active supporter of the City of Hope.
Survivors include his wife, daughter, two stepdaughters, two stepsons and 16 grandchildren.

Helen O. Petrauskas, La-Z-Boy board member
Monroe, Mich. — Helen O. Petrauskas, a member of the La-Z-Boy board of directors, has died. She was 61.
She joined the board in 2000 and served as chairwoman of the Investment Performance Review Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee.
Petrauskas was vice president of environmental and safety engineering at Ford Motor Co. from 1983 until her retirement in 2001. She also sat on the boards of the Sherwin-Williams Co. and MCN Energy.
