ADL to honor Johansens, Wittenberg
Awards presented at ADL dinner on June 8

NEW YORK — Wayne and Rod Johansen of retailer HOM Furniture, based in Coon Rapids, Minn., and Bill Wittenberg of manufacturer Berkline/BenchCraft will receive prestigious awards from the Anti-Defamation League, a civil rights and human relations organization.
The three will be presented with the 2006 National Home Furnishings Division American Heritage award, which honors their commitment to the humanitarian goals of civil rights and justice and their dedication to the community and the industry.
The awards will be presented during the ADL’s annual dinner-dance on June 8 at the Grand Hyatt here. Event organizers include Norman Waxman, industry chair; Neil Goldberg, dinner chair; and Fred Berk, vice chair.
