DURHAM, Ontario — Industry veteran Ronald Fuhrman has been named to the new post of vice president of marketing and product development at Canadian solid-wood bedroom maker Durham Furniture.
He will work with CEO Keith McSpurren on product and pricing strategies, with designers and production managers on new product, and research and develop new licensing programs. Fuhrman also will develop promotions and work with Durham’s independent sales representatives on business plans.
He reports to McSpurren.
Fuhrman most recently was vice president of marketing for Pennsylvania House, and has held senior marketing posts with manufacturers Hickory Chair and Mersman Waldron Furniture. He started his career in retail at Schoenfeld’s Furniture and Leath/Maxwell Home Furnishings.
A North Carolina resident, Fuhrman will be based in Durham’s showroom and sales office at Market Square in High Point.
“The marketing and product development skills and leadership Ron possesses will help secure our success in this ever-changing business environment,” McSpurren said.
“I’m excited and delighted to be joining one of the few manufacturers of solid-wood bedroom left in North America,” Fuhrman said.
