Bradington-Young to show in IHFC

High Point — Upscale leather and motion upholstery maker Bradington-Young will show in a 20,000-square-foot space in the International Home Furnishings Center for the April market.
The company, owned by Hooker Furniture, has exhibited in an outlying showroom on King Street for over 25 years. Its IHFC showroom will be in the Commerce wing, space 1057.
"We are excited about moving to the International Home Furnishings Center and the opportunity to showcase our line to a wider dealer base in a high-traffic area," said Curtis Bolick, national sales manager for Bradington-Young.
The new showroom is down the hall from Hooker's space, W-1047.
"The close proximity of the two showrooms will make it easy for a dealer to work through one sales representative and have access to a complete assortment of mid- to upper-end case goods, occasional and upholstery," Bolick said.
He said the new showroom will feature elegant architectural elements and sight lines, including elaborate moldings, faux finishes, classical columns and a high lobby ceiling.
A tightly edited selection of Bradington-Young's leather sofas, reclining chairs, club chairs, tub chairs, exposed-wood chairs and home theater and motion seating groups will be shown, Bolick said.
In conjunction with the move to IHFC, Bradington-Young will debut a special program catering to the design trade. The company has significantly lowered its opening-order dollar requirements for designers participating in the program, entitling them to catalogs, 75 to 90 leather selections and a special handle of fabrics.
"Our distinctive styling in chairs that recline and other seating, along with our selection of leathers, and extensive custom fabric (COM) experience should make us a standout in any designer's portfolio," Bolick said.
