WMC streamlines Web site
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 26, 2006
Las Vegas — The World Market Center here is unveiling a streamlined Web site that makes it easier for users to access a number of key features and tools.
"We understand that visitors to our Web site are busy home furnishings professionals who require immediate access to market information, and so we've specifically redesigned our Web site with their needs in mind," said Dana Pretner, director of marketing and public relations for the WMC.
The site is divided into four main sections: market information, exhibitor services, pressroom and the Design Center. Users ranging from buyers to exhibitors can readily locate a number of tools and features, including:
-
On-line registration.
-
International services and amenities, including visa guidelines, electronic applications, and links to embassy and consulate information.
-
Discounted hotels and a room-booking engine.
-
Exhibitor listings, product index, floor plans, events and seminars.
-
Leasing, advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
-
News releases and a comprehensive photo gallery.
-
Designer resources and information about the year-round showrooms in the Design Center.
-
A look at Las Vegas with useful statistics, resources and links to popular city Web sites.
-
A Web-cam link with views of the second building, now under construction.
The next market at the World Market Center and its temporary Pavilions is set for July 24–28. The affiliated market at the Las Vegas Convention Center will open July 25. Market pre-registration begins April 3. All attendees are encouraged to pre-register online in order to receive their market badges in advance of the show.
