Riccio to follow Risley at La-Z-Boy
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 26, 2006
Monroe, Mich. — David Risley, La-Z-Boy's senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2001, plans to retire this summer when the manufacturer completes its financial reporting for the fiscal year.
The company said Risley will be succeeded by Louis M. "Mike" Riccio Jr., who has been La-Z-Boy's corporate controller since February 2002.
President and CEO Kurt Darrow said Risley "played a pivotal role in reshaping and setting La-Z-Boy on a new course during his tenure. He will be missed by all and we wish him all the best in his retirement."
Riccio joined La-Z-Boy in early 2000 when the company acquired LADD Furniture. He had worked in a variety of financial management and accounting posts at LADD since 1990.
Darrow said Riccio "will easily make a smooth transition into his new role. He has made a significant contribution to La-Z-Boy since joining the company." He said a search has begun for Riccio's replacement as corporate controller.
