FurnitureFan, Impact offer retailers Internet strategic services
Brian Carroll -- Furniture Today, April 2, 2006
Natick, Mass. — Internet marketing company FurnitureFan and Impact Retail Performance are teaming up to offer retailers a broader array of Internet strategic services.
The alliance marries FurnitureFan's experience with search-engine strategies and online advertising with Impact's research in demographics and psychographics.
The aim is to provide better strategic approaches to attracting customers to particular retailers from the growing number of people who are shopping online for furniture.
FurnitureFan says the marriage is a response to demand from its retail clients.
"Of the nearly 1,200 retailers we work with, there are hundreds who want to diversify their ability to capture the consumer in their trade area," said FurnitureFan President Sev Ritchie.
He said localized Internet advertising makes it possible to improve the returns on advertising investments, and to do it market by market. "As the performance of other types of advertising media diminishes, retailers are switching from the lesser performers to Internet advertising," Ritchie said.
FurnitureFan and Impact Retail Performance "know the home furnishings consumer from all sides, and have developed this (program) to address the aspirations of the consumer and match them to the local store," he said.
