Braemore Fabrics
New York — Neil Paladino has been promoted to president of the Braemore Fabrics division of P. Kaufmann Inc. He had been Braemore's vice president of sales.
Paladino succeeds Bob Appelbome, who remains senior vice president of the parent company and president of its Clarence House division.
Norwalk Furniture
Norwalk, Ohio — Paul McKiernan has joined upholstery maker Norwalk Furniture as an account representative.
He will focus on the Norwalk and J. Raymond brands which, along with the Joe Ruggiero brand, are sold through the company's network of franchises, as well as through independently owned furniture stores and national chains in the United States and Canada.
McKiernan has been a sales representative for Lane, Hooker, Sam Moore and Bradington-Young.
Protect-A-Bed
Chicago — Protect-A-Bed, a manufacturer of polyurethane laminated mattress protectors, has promoted Sidney Stern to national sales manager, a new position.
Before joining Protect-A-Bed in 2000 as East Coast sales manager, Stern served over 30 years as a multi-line independent textile sales representative.

Hickory Springs
Hickory, N.C. — Furniture and bedding component manufacturer Hickory Springs has hired Randy Waibel as corporate environmental compliance manager.
Waibel will be responsible for compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. Working with a team of factory and regional managers, he will coordinate compliance work at the local level, conduct factory compliance audits and assist with the disposal of regulated wastes.
An expert on petroleum and chemical storage tank and storm water discharge regulations, Waibel has worked with 3M, Honeywell, Woodbridge Group, the Polyurethane Foam Assn., Merck, BP-Amoco, Exxon-Mobil and Bayer. Most recently, he was a managing associate for O'Brien & Gere, an environmental engineering consulting firm.
