FIT honors Webster

New York — The 10th annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast for the Home Products Development Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology drew a sellout crowd at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel here last week.
As a result of the event, the scholarship fund now is approaching $1 million, said Peter Scotese, chairman emeritus of FIT.
Nancy Webster, president and CEO of Thomasville Furniture Inds., was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Also honored were Alan Gladstone, chairman, president and CEO of Anna's Linens, with the Outstanding Achievement Award; Carl Goldstein, vice president of S. Lichtenberg & Co., Humanitarian Award; and Marvin Traub, president of Marvin Traub Associates, Distinguished Leadership Award.
