Kaplan joins American Lighting and Furniture

Riverside, Calif. — Stephen Kaplan has been named corporate vice president, sales and marketing, for American Lighting and Furniture Group here, a new position.
He reports to John Yeh, chairman, and Bernard Koay, president.
Kaplan is an industry veteran who has held sales and management positions with manufacturers including Rowe, Bauhaus, Cone Mills and Malden.
His responsibilities in his new post include expanding the customer base for lighting and furniture as well as positioning the company's marketing and merchandising for residential lighting and furniture.
In addition, Ira Osman has joined the company as regional vice president for lighting and therapeutic products (American Lighting, King Kong U.S.A. and Comfort/Tech), also a new position, and will be based in High Point. Osman was previously a sales representative carrying several lines.
Shawn Dunn, formerly American Lighting and Furniture's sales manager, was promoted to general manager and will be responsible for the company's Atlanta warehouse and distribution center.
The company recently acquired a 12,000-square-foot permanent showroom at 126 N. Centennial St. in High Point.
It also has permanent showrooms in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Guangzhou and Huizhou, China, and Taichung, Taiwan.
