This Lazar subsidiary is introducing the Naomi sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman in a premium selection of 400 designer covers, in slipcover or upholstered versions. Also new will be the Westin sofa and chair with a thin track arm and nailhead trim on the inside arm panel.

Oppulente upholstery coordinates with case goods collection. Pieces are designed with an exaggerated flair to accentuate the classic Old World look. Jacquards and silks are used with rich reds and antique coin and gold tones, with accents of bullions, braids and beaded trim to show off the elegance of the collection. An oversized chair, lounging chaise, high-back wing chair and armless, full-sized slipper chair complement the "heart shaped" back of the sofa and loveseat. All Oppulente upholstery features deeply carved and hand-finished birch wood in a warm Sienna Spice finish.

Filling voids with 30 new styles, 100 new fabrics and 12 new trims. Introductions include:

  • Traditional No. 630-02 Amore round chaise with room for cuddling in blue and turquoise tapestry from Craftex, and a brown velvet from JB Martin, accented with beaded tassel trim and cord and organdy loop fringe from Roger Gagnon.

  • Transitional Gustav chair and No. 335 ottoman, made for reading and relaxation, in hand-rubbed leather by Anthem, accented with worn copper nail trim.

  • A casual contemporary Tennyson imported settee in a rich tapestry by King Textiles accented with Ostrich Ebony by Leather Collection, with a strip from Swavelle accenting the toss pillows.

  • A traditional No 226-00 Fortune Clover ottoman accented with beaded trim and decorative trim by shimmer fabric from Quaker.

Company is introducing its new Loft program of lifestyle upholstery and leather frames with all-exclusive fabrics. The collection will include nine fabric groups, seven leather groups and a number of occasional chairs and cocktail ottomans. Colors include coco channel red, kiwi green and robin's egg blue, and fabrics are textured and subtle, with burlaps, velvets and microfibers. Leathers range from scarlet reds and black and white hide-on-hair to rich, pebbly off-whites. In addition, Bernhardt is adding four tailored frames in rich fabrics, with tailored arms, button tufting, silks, paisleys and welts.

Introducing a two-piece, four-seat transitional conversation sofa that can be complemented with two matching storage ottomans; a retro sofa accented with cording down the center with single button-tufting on each side, wood trim bottom rail and square tapered legs; and an assortment of chairs.

Six new frames in casual styling tie into occasional and have microfiber option at $599; six new frames in traditional styling with non-skirted option, 78-inch shorter sofa option to fit consumer lifestyle; also Tropez in wood trim; Chambray with more opulent styling; and Elements in transitional. The company is strengthening the $599 to $799 price points with a focus on casual living and family rooms, and adding more exposed wood elements to tie in with case goods; also, three new fabric and leather combinations.

Marketing programs: Offering a quick-ship direct container program on leather with four frames and 18 leathers and a target price of $999; and a new warehouse program for leather with a target of $899 to $1,499.

The No. 205 contemporary sectional includes plush seat, semi-attached backs and a Mission Oak finish, $4,500.

Cochrane

  • Expanding its line to meet specific style trends and to address the lifestyle of today's consumers. Five new sofa frames include an apartment-sized traditional with Lawson arm, in Bloomcraft's Concerto cover; casual contemporary with raised arm panels, accented with nailhead trim in Corell Encore cover; cottage camel-back sofa with exposed woods that includes a shutter detail in TieTex Sarah; a grand scale, 97-inch traditional pillow-back sofa with extra throw pillows in TieTex Kaiser; and a tight-back sofa with traditional spool foot in ADF Cashmiri cover.

  • Company also is expanding its Easy Living custom program with accent pieces that offer added style and flexibility.

Comfort Designs

Company is featuring a number of new contemporary sofas, chairs and ottomans. The Charley swivel chair is covered in Heather Brisa UltraLeather, simulated leather engineered for breathability with a slightly flared headrest to the softly rounded cushion. The two-tone No. 9860-1 chair with Brisa Ultraleather Persimmon and coffee colors is accented with wooden legs.

C.R. Laine

A key introduction will be the Jessica McClintock collection, which includes seven fully upholstered sofas, settee, tufted ottoman, chaise, fully upholstered desk chair, seven fully upholstered chairs and two with exposed wood frames. There are 36 fabrics exclusive to the collection, with walnut, bisque and pistachio wood finishes, and 12 trims, including fringe, braided cord, bullion and tassels.

Dynasty

Introductions include a retro condo-sized sofa with button back and espresso show wood, which will be shown in a chocolate boucle; an armless sofa in a rye-colored linen with accenting kidney pillows in stripes with accent bench ottoman; and a four-seat sofa with track arms in a raisin colored fabric with matching bench ottoman.

Company will be broadening its line with new sofas and chairs, including Allison, in a floral peach, with apricot, green and spa blue colors and tassel fringe on the pillows, $1,399, and Montauk, a three-over-three rolled arm in a deep burgundy with gold accents. Also on tap is No. 3120, a traditional panel sofa; a stationary glider; a new recliner; and a second chaise in traditional skirted styling, $599.

Fat Boy USA

Lounge seating in Merimekko's Unikko black and red covers and Kaivo red covers, $299. Company is adding three new prints to the original beanbag collection, also using Marimekko fabrics.

This Canadian contemporary specialist continues to evolve its furniture line beyond the living room. Introductions include the Calvin upholstered dining bench, available in two back heights and two lengths, covered in Tiltex's Malibu, from $499; Conrad No. 95 sofa in Morgan's Pincord features modern styling, down-and-feather seats and backs, $1,499; the Drake armless sectional is available in many configurations, both arm and armless, $2,299; Byward sofa in Pattern Ballet Master Fabrics in hot pink with sleek modern look, available in many fabrics, $1,299; and the condo-size Morrison chair in Quaker's Woolsuede, with exposed wood base, $599.

Marketing programs: The company says its production lead-time is now four to six weeks.

Upholstery introductions include the No. 9606 exposed wood sofa with decorative metal bracket and a ratchet look to the frame, in solid cherry, $2,599.

Hekman/Woodmark

In upholstery, company is focusing on building value in its fabric line-up with a fresh pallet of spice and wild flower colors. Specific lifestyle statements have been created throughout the showroom that reflect a fresh approach in the use of color, texture and frame style.

Henredon

641 W. Ward St.

Emphasis this market will be luxury in frame styles and fabrics, with enhanced use of sophisticated trims and decorative pillows. There are 250 new fabrics, including a number of exclusives, embellished by a unique selection of custom-designed trims, fringes and cord treatments. There are a number of upholstery pieces in new collections, including Arabesque, a large in-scale statement inspired by the artistry of Venice; and St. Regis, a traditional category styled after the millwork and furnishings found in 19th-century Gentlemen's Clubs. In addition, Acquisitions Upholstery will include clean, crisp, eight-way hand tied construction and elegant neutral fabrics.

Highland House

Upholstery introductions include 22 new frames.

  • Eleven upholstery pieces are being added to Scandinavian Simplicity, the company's newest flavor in its European Excursion program. Scandinavian Simplicity is described as clean-lined, soft contemporary. Fabrics are highly textural, reflecting a sophisticated contemporary point of view in three high-fashion color directions.

  • Also, five new upper-tier "Designer Classics" pieces include a new ratchet-style sofa.

  • Six new frames round out existing collections.

Isenhour Furniture

422 N. Hamilton

Introductions include two frames — Chardon, a traditional sofa with roll arm, 97-inch length, in American Silk's Athena, $6,399; and Lindsay, a sofa with casual mini-track arm in Weave's Choppy Seas cover, $5,399.

Kincaid

Company is concentrating this market on its Designers Select line-up but also adding new pieces in the Classics and Kinguard (performance fabrics) categories. Designers Select is Kincaid's top of the line and includes eight-way hand-tied spring construction. New products in the other categories include sinuous spring construction with optional eight-way hand-tied construction for a $200 retail upcharge.

Lazar

Two Signature Designer Collections will debut. They are the Clarion Sofa Series, a fully upholstered avante garde design from Tom Kennedy, and the Calcutta and Aerolo series from Stanley Jay Friedman. Other new contemporary introductions include the Tempo and the Infinity sofa series. The Lada series includes six compact pieces starting at $1,195, including many in new high-performance fabrics such as Bella Velvet. Also on tap is the contemporary Avante sectional series, featuring subtle shapes.

La-Z-Boy

Included in the company's introductions are:

  • The No. 869 Margo sofa with generous rolled-arm, high skirt, four large pillows and accentuated with correlating cords and fringes, available as a loveseat and chair with ottoman.

  • Larson contemporary motion sofa in both fabric and leather.

  • Benton leather sofa designed for spaces with high visibility, with neatly tailored arm and seat and low-profile back reminiscent of retro styling.

  • Baylee recliner with four channeled pub-like cushions that envelop the user's back, available in leather and fabric.

Lee Inds.

Introductions will include a mattress sectional with two twin-tufted mattresses and clean straight lines, $5,255; and a European club chair in antique leather with spaced nailhead trim, an authentic reproduction of a 1920s club chair, $2,200.

Lexington Home Brands

Tommy Bahama Home Jimbaran Bay collection includes 30 pieces in eclectic transitional Balinese-inspired designs.

Marshfield

The Winchester Group of sofa, chair and ottoman features exclusive licensed Winchester fabric and etched metal accents and pewter nail trim in an Old West flavor, $3,800 sofa; the same in a leather/fabric combination with Winchester detail, $3,600 chair and ottoman; the Bayfield wing chair in a Woodlands exclusive design features a wood base, $1,180 chair; Oconto sofa in transitional seating highlighted by silver star nail trim on back collar and elongated arched arm, $1,600 sofa; Remington chair and storage ottoman, a large-scale, wrap-around wing chair with brass nail trim, accent pillow and acorn legs, $1,480 chair and storage ottoman; and the Dodgeville sofa designed by Susan Sheil, showcasing Marshfield's three-fabric collage, $1,520 sofa. The company is expanding its exclusive Woodlands collection with a new frame and fabrics in unique applications.

The company's new Dino collection has a softer, more transitional appearance that includes a five-piece living room, seven-piece rectangular wood top dining room, five-piece round glass-top pedestal dining room, complementary barstool and a round cocktail bench. In the company's medium-high price range.

Norwalk

Company is introducing a new line of upholstered furniture with Candice Olson, Canadian interior designer and host of HGTV's Devine Design. Also introducing a collection of "time worn" leather upholstery designs called Tanners Guild and the Carson sectional, a Euro-contemporary modular design in Glen Ravel/Sunbrella's Tex.

Marketing programs: Offering dealers a coordinated presentation of three brands with the Integrated Home Fashion Center, which incorporates J. Raymond, Hickory Hill and Jaclyn Smith Home lines into a single lifestyle setting.

Pennsylvania House

Introductions include 14 new frames — a high-style contemporary group, sofa, $1,499; and an English arm skirted sofa in greens, golds and apricots, $1,599. New fabrics also are being added to the Grandover sectional.

Powell

Upholstery program includes new seating choices in fabric and leather. Introductions include three new benches in traditional styling with wood finishes, upholstered in leather and fabrics and beginning at $149; and six new Parsons chairs and settee styles from traditional to modern covered in what the company describes as "today's most saleable fabrics, with prices ranging from $149 to $349. Also new, cocktail ottomans, generously sized, button tufted in deep chocolate leather on heirloom cherry-finished feet, $349 to $399. Other leather includes seating using solid hardwood frames, eight-gauge sinuous steel springs and thick foam in all styles and sizes in red, black or chocolate with prices ranging from $129 to $169.

  • Traditional camel back sofa/loveseat group with dressmaker skirt in Gum Tree's Silas Raisin, $699.

  • No. 1401 sofa/loveseat in contemporary with straight chrome leg, covered in Morgan's Mammoth, $349.

  • Also, strengthening traditional offerings with No. 824 Higate, a bench-made product from the King's Creek division, featuring a high camel-back leg group at a starting price of $349. This market's intros also include case goods and accent pieces.

  • Introductions include the Breaux sofa, with Charles of London arms, down-filled decorative pillows, turned wood legs using a chocolate, caramel and terra cotta palette, large and small paisleys, strips and small harlequin fabric patterns; and the Afron sofa with shelter roll arm, down-filled pillows, a tapered wood leg in a palette of warm red, ambers and caramel in large-scale medallion and stripes, paisleys and harlequin, in Cava Collage.

  • Adding leather accent pieces to its upholstered room settings to include the Crosby Settee with buttonback, button seat detailing and espresso wood finish, $999.

Featured collection is Soulful Modern, case goods and upholstery that hovers somewhere between a rustic retro and a rugged contemporary, very clean and straightforward. In all, the company will add about 45 upholstery pieces, both skirted and non-skirted.
