Waldrup gets Excelsior Designs sales post
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 16, 2006
North Amityville, N.Y. — Upholstery veteran Mickey Waldrup has been named to the new position of national sales manager at contemporary furniture manufacturer Excelsior Designs here.
Waldrup reports to Paul Greenbaum, vice president of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for managing key national accounts as well as developing new retail accounts.
Waldrup's extensive background in upholstery product development and merchandising, including stints at manufacturers Stratford, Berkline and Klaussner, dovetails with Excelsior's move at last October's market to introduce fully upholstered furniture from designer Nicole Miller.
The company said it would use Waldrup's expertise to enhance its training programs, merchandising and product design. He also continues to manage the company's Florida sales territory.
The addition of Waldrup will free Greenbaum to take on additional responsibilities in the areas of strategic planning, sales and customer service, and organization.
