Belak named OWA's VP of sales

Dalton, Ga. — Sam Belak has been named vice president of sales for the Oriental Weavers of America rug brand.

He will be responsible for the management and development of the North American importer/manufacturer's sales in the home center, mass merchant and national store channels.

He reports to Mike Riley, president of Oriental Weavers USA.

Belak has been with Sphinx by Oriental Weavers for over eight years as vice president of sales for the Northeast. Prior to joining the company, he was with Shaw Inds. for 10 years in various posts, leaving as home center division manager for the eastern United States.

Founded in 1991, Dalton-based Oriental Weavers USA is a division of Oriental Weavers Group, a multi-national collection of companies headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.
