By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 16, 2006
Hayward, Calif. — Case goods importer HomElegance has hired Jamie Collins as vice president of sales and marketing.
Collins, who reports to President Hutch Chao, joined the company on April 10. He fills a position that had been vacant since the departure of Joe Elmore in October.
Collins will work with HomElegance's network of 12 regional warehouses to help develop sales, marketing and product development strategies.
For the past six years, Collins was vice president of sales and retail development for Thomasville Furniture. Earlier, he held management positions at Lea Inds. and Bassett Furniture.
"The addition of a seasoned furniture executive like Jamie Collins underscores our dedication to growing this company — our commitment to process improvement and delivering more value to our dealers and the consumer," Chao said in a statement. "Jamie is one of the young leaders in our industry. He will make a day-one contribution to Homelegance."
