CORONA, Calif. — Case goods resource Somerton Dwelling has added two well-known industry officials to its team as part of its rebranding and product development efforts.
The company has named 35-year industry veteran Dave Pinamonti executive vice president and hired designer Stephanie Lena as creative director. Both are new positions with the company, and both will report to Rita Ho-Bezzola, president.
Pinamonti comes to the company from Durham Furniture, where he has served as vice president of business development. He has held senior management positions for the past 23 years at several residential furniture companies, including Universal Furniture, A-America and Broyhill.
Pinamonti, who is based on the East Coast, will work with territory managers east of the Rocky Mountains, while Somerton's current vice president of sales, Jim Kelly, will work with retailers on the West Coast. Kelly reports to Pinamonti.
"What really got me excited about joining Somerton Dwelling is that Rita Ho-Bezzola has assembled such a successful team of people in every area of the company from marketing to product development," Pinamonti said. "The other strong draw is that Rita has a very clear vision on what the company's direction should be. Her responsive vision was far and away the best direction of what a case goods company should be doing now and going forward into the future."
Lena has spent the past two years designing and helping merchandise various HGTV Home collections at Bassett Furniture. Before that, she spent six years at Aspenhome as senior designer and merchandising manager. She has won three Pinnacle design awards and is a member of the board of directors of the American Society of Furniture Designers.
Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., she will be responsible for Somerton Dwelling's product and showroom designs and will assist the company's public relations agency, the Daly Group, in the company's marketing campaigns.
"I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to join Somerton Dwelling," she said. "As soon as I met Rita Ho-Bezzola, I knew this experience was going to be unlike anything I had ever done before. I believe in the vision that she has for the company and am thrilled that I am able to be a part of it."
