At The Market — Klaussner of California, the West Coast service center for upholstery and family room resource Klaussner Furniture, has leased a 280,000-square-foot distribution facility in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
The facility, set to open in June, will consolidate imported finished goods inventory from existing warehouses in Mentone, Calif.
"This new state-of-the-art facility will allow us to expand our current finished goods inventory to better meet market demand," said Tony Ocampo, Klaussner of California president. "This facility will enable us to take care of our customer's needs, not only on the West Coast but nationwide."
The distribution facility is expected to handle mixed loads of case goods and upholstery, and help complete the consolidation of Golden Oaks, which was acquired by Klaussner. Ocampo is the former president of Golden Oaks.
Plans call for 20,000 square feet of the facility to be used as showroom space, allowing the company to showcase all products available on the West Coast.
The facility will bring Klaussner's total manufacturing and warehouse space on the West Coast to 850,000 square feet.
