FAIRFIELD, Ohio — Bill Daniels, formerly vice president over merchandising for Furniture Fair here, has been promoted to president of the 12-store retailer.
Daniels, who has worked in the family business for 29 years, will oversee day-to-day operations, including merchandising decisions, and will oversee buyers. He previously held various roles, working in store management and as a case goods buyer.
Rick Daniels, who has been CEO and president since 1979, continues as CEO, overseeing company goals and participating in all key business decisions.
In addition, Cindy Baker has been promoted to buyer for upholstery, tables and home theater. She has been with the retailer since 1997, working as a staff designer, assistant manager and store manager as well as director of Furniture Fair's Thomasville division and Design Destination.
Also, Mike Crist has been promoted to case goods buyer. Crist joined the company in 2000, working in sales before becoming a store manager at Furniture Fair's Eastgate, Ohio, location.
"Because of Mike and Cindy's experience and tremendous work ethic we were able to promote from within," Bill Daniels said.
