Joe Carroll, in addition to being publisher of Furniture\|Today for the past 21+ years, is an author, columnist, and furniture industry spokesperson. He received his B.A. degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Virginia and his Masters Degree in Romance Languages and Literature from Princeton University. He studied a year in Paris at the Subonne and taught at several colleges and universities in the U.S. Mr. Carroll is a frequent speaker at furniture industry conference, home furnishings markets and sales meetings. He often appears in both live and taped broadcasts during the High Point International Home Furniture Market and was a regular guest on the nationally syndicated TV show, Haven, sponsored by the Home Furnishings Council. In 1997, the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association named Mr. Carroll "Pillar of the Industry". He is past President of the American Furniture Hall of Fame, a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Chairman of the High Point University Home Furnishings Advisory Board. He is President of the Piedmont Triad Council for International Visitors, President of Greensboro Sister Cities and President of the North Carolina Alliance For Language Learning. Mr. Carroll also writes a column, entitled Furniture Marketplace, for the Greensboro News & Record.
