LAS VEGAS MARKET: World Market Center plans Vegas Kids Show

New event will be held June 13-16

LAS VEGAS — The World Market Center will introduce a Vegas Kids Show of youth-oriented home products here next June, coinciding with a previously announced gift and home show, officials said Monday.

Both shows will occupy flexible space on the second floor of Building B and the fourth and fifth floors of Building C, but will have their own distinct areas, WMC CEO Bob Maricich announced at a press conference here. The Gift & Home Show is set for June 13-16.

He said the Vegas Kids Show will address the "fastest-growing segment of the industry" in youth furnishings.

Another previously announced new show aimed at the hospitality industry, called Inspire Design, will take place in two of the WMC's Pavilions tents during next February's Las Vegas Market.

Maricich added that the kids-oriented event probably won't be the last show the WMC will add to its calendar, saying that several years from now, the venue could be hosting 12 to 15 shows a year as it looks for new ways to serve the industry.
