Worldwide Logistics to open Riverside, Calif., distribution center
Will be furniture carrier's 10th facility

VALDESE, N.C. — Specialized furniture carrier Worldwide Logistics will soon open its 10th distribution center in Riverside, Calif.The 250,000-square-foot facility will enhance the company's ability to provide 10-day delivery throughout the 48 contiguous states, said Pat Smith, vice president of sales and marketing.
"In addition, it increases the space we have available for warehousing our customers' stock positions, and enhances our cross-docking capabilities at a strategic U.S. entry point," Smith said.
The Riverside facility is scheduled to go online Oct. 1.
The carrier's other distribution centers are in Pomona and Stockton, Calif., Orlando, Fla., Tacoma, Wash., Dallas, Tupelo, Miss., Morganton, N.C., Martinsville, Va., and Jefferson, Wis.
