Loomcraft Textiles gives away 35,000 yards of decorative fabrics

Program offers public free one- or two-yard pieces

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 23, 2009

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Decorative fabric supplier and retailer Loomcraft Textiles says it has given away more than 35,000 yards of decorator fabrics since it launched its Free Fabric Program in May.

Owner Ron Frankel said the program is a way to support the public in difficult economic times by providing free cuts of fabric, in pieces of one or two yards, for personal use and enjoyment. Each customer can take one piece, although local schools and charities can arrange with the company for bulk donations.

The giveaway is taking place at the company's Interior Alternative outlet store here, at 2516 Industry Drive. The outlet sells decorative fabrics, linings, trims and custom furniture and also offers custom re-upholstery and window treatments.
