Fortune article highlights Stanley Furniture strategy

Notes company is bringing production back to U.S.

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 23, 2009

STANLEYTOWN, Va. — Case goods and occasional source Stanley Furniture's decision to bring production of its kids' line back to the United States is the topic of an item in Fortune magazine's "First" section.

The story appears in the magazine's Sept. 28 print issue (but not on its Web site).

In the article, company President Glenn Prillaman says the move will give Stanley more control over its inventory and shipment flow and that "puts us in a better position."
