Lancaster, Pa. — Furniture software supplier CDS Solutions Group said it has completed the first Retail 6 system installation for Sofa Express & more in Hattiesburg, Miss.
The Hattiesburg location is a 30,000-square-foot, full-line store owned and operated by Bill Fox and Jim Hicks.
The store here is licensed by Klaussner, which owns other Sofa Express & more stores. Baker said that CDS and the Retail 6 system are the recommended retail management solution for all Sofa Express & more licensee stores.
"The store concepts are built around providing customers with exactly what they want, custom made to their specifications, and delivered to their home quickly," said CDS President Ren Baker. "With the data flows we've built, that promise is delivered in real-time, bringing customer service to a new level in the industry."
Pam Hicks, wife of co-owner Jim Hicks and a key player in the store's operations, said that the staff finds the system "very user friendly."
Baker said several other Retail 6 deployments are scheduled in the next few months, including Kornmeyers in Baton Rouge, La., Brashears Furniture in Berryville, Ark., and Johnny Janosik Inc. in Laurel, Del.
Retail 6 is a Windows-based system. A bundled package provides software, hardware, network, security and system support.
