Intercontinental Brazil honored as exporter

Santa Catarina, Brazil — Industrial associations of the southern Brazil states of Parana, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina again have honored Intercontinental Brazil as the country's largest furniture exporter.
The groups saluted the case goods manufacturer in a ceremony in Florianopolis, Brazil. This is the fifth consecutive year the company has received the award.
In 2005, Intercontinental sent about 40,000 bedroom sets to the United States. The company has a showroom in Las Vegas, and shows in the spaces of wholesale customers in High Point.
Intercontinental employs 500 people in its factory in Sao Bento Do Sul in Santa Catarina.
