Lenoir, N.C. — Retailers in Florida and Texas have installed galleries by Broyhill, the full-line manufacturer and importer based here.
In Leesburg, Fla., Furniture Country Galleries has opened a 12,500-square-foot Broyhill Furniture Showplace in its new 40,000-square-foot store. An extensively remodeled former Service Merchandise building, it replaces a smaller store.
Furniture Country was founded in 1981 by Larry Swor. Ella Padgett is co-owner and general manager. The company also has a store in Ocala and plans to open early next year a third unit in St. Augustine.
In Sherman, Texas, Barnes Furniture has installed a 7,500-square-foot Broyhill Showcase Gallery in its 20,000-square-foot store.
The store was founded by Ray Barnes and his wife Pauline. They, along with daughter Kimberly Wilson, run day-to-day operations. Lea Seazell is the store manager and buyer.
Broyhill is a division of Furniture Brands International.
