Schnadig to sell Lauren Ralph Lauren furniture

Case goods, upholstery to be in lineup

Heath E. Combs -- Furniture Today, September 30, 2009

HIGH POINT — Schnadig International has entered into a licensing agreement with Ralph Lauren Home to produce a line of case goods and upholstery under the Lauren Ralph Lauren brand.

"This new collection offers a wide array of styles and materials all of exceptional quality," said Frank Guzzetta, president of Ralph Lauren Home, in a press release.

It was unclear when the items will be introduced, its price points and scope. Ralph Lauren and Schnadig officials were unavailable at press time with more details.

"Our partnership with the universally respected and consumer-coveted Lauren brand is another key step in the evolution of Schnadig International," Jeff Young, chairman and CEO of Schnadig, said in a press release.

Manufacturer E.J. Victor signed a license agreement to produce high-end case goods and upholstery under the Ralph Lauren Home brand last year after Henredon let the license expire.

Ralph Lauren Home, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Chaps and American Living, all Ralph Lauren brands, sell product in home furnishings categories.
