Danbury, Conn. — Ethan Allen has reorganized into corporate marketing, operations and retail arms to better reflect its vertically integrated business.
The upscale home furnishings manufacturer and retailer has created three wholly owned subsidiaries:
-
Ethan Allen Global, focusing on marketing and overall corporate financial functions.
-
Ethan Allen Operations, involved in manufacturing, sourcing and logistics.
-
Ethan Allen Retail, which manages company-owned stores in its dedicated store network.
Spokeswoman Peg Lupton said the new structure "better reflects the way we conduct and report our business segments."
In connection with the reorganization, the company has promoted Corey Whitely to executive vice president of Ethan Allen Operations, and Ed Teplitz to executive vice president of Ethan Allen Retail.
Both report to Ethan Allen Chairman and CEO Farooq Kathwari.
Whitely joined Ethan Allen in 1988 as general manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and has taken on more management responsibilities in retail and operations. He most recently was vice president of operations.
Teplitz started as an independent Ethan Allen dealer in 1993 in Pittsburgh, joining the corporation in 2001 as vice president of finance. He's led the retail division as vice president and general manager since 2003.
Lupton called Ethan Allen Global the "heart of the Ethan Allen brand. We have several experienced and senior leaders managing the merchandising, advertising, store development, dealer relations and finance functions."
Ethan Allen operates 12 manufacturing plants in the Unites State and has 313 stores in the United States and elsewhere, including 126 company-owned units.
