Linwood Furniture adds 500 paint options to line

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Case goods manufacturer Linwood Furniture is adding more than 500 painted finish options to its Villages of Gulf Breeze collection of bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture.

The company launched the collection in October 2007 with seven standard painted finish options. These now ship within seven business days of the order.

Its Kaleidoscope custom color program adds more than 500 painted finishes that can be shipped in 20 business days. The finishes are applied at the company's Lexington, N.C., area plant and are available a minimum upcharge largely based on the size of the piece.

Linwood President Bryan Starnes said the program allows customers more options in customizing their living environments.

"With the increasingly popular trend of furniture customization," he said, "why limit yourself to 10 or so color options? Why can't we offer the consumer any paint color they want, allowing them to create a color scheme to fit their individual lifestyle?"

The program will be offered at the High Point Market, which opens Oct. 17. Linwood shows in space 307 of Market Square.

In addition to the color options, Linwood is offering an optional stained solid-cherry top on case pieces in the line.
