Soflex Furniture appoints two vice presidents
Taps Jim Smiechewicz, Larry Mendoza for sales, operations

DALLAS — Leather upholstery source Soflex Furniture has named veteran sales executive Jim Smiechewicz as vice president of sales and marketing and Larry Mendoza as vice president of operations.Both are new positions, and both report to the Soflex board of directors.
Smiechewicz spent over 17 years in sales and management at Bassett Furniture, and most recently was an independent sales rep for Soflex.
"We're very excited to have Jim on board," said Arthur Chiang, Soflex's owner. "Jim brings with him a proven track record which will enable him to have an immediate and positive impact for the team."
Mendoza has been with the company since Soflex entered the U.S. market in July, 2007, and most recently was the company's warehouse and operations manager in Dallas.
Taizhou, China-based Soflex has been manufacturing leather upholstery for more than 25 years. The company warehouses 15 core styles in its Dallas warehouse and ships the same day that orders are received anywhere in the continental United States as part of its Soflex Express Quick Ship Program. In addition, the company offers more than 100 styles ranging from contemporary to traditional by direct container.
