Bob's Discount Furniture opens 35th store
44,000-square-foot unit is in Carle Place, N.Y.

CARLE PLACE, N.Y. — Manchester, Conn.-based Bob's Discount Furniture has opened its 35th store here, following an opening in Woburn, Mass., in September and two other New York stores in May.
The 44,000-square-foot Carle Place store on Long Island will create 85 jobs. The retailer doesn't disclose investment or projected sales figures.
"We couldn't be happier to open our new Carle Place store and offer another community our promise for quality furniture at everyday low prices," Bob Kaufman, president of the Top 100 company, said in a release. "We have received such a pleasant welcome to the neighborhood and are looking forward to being a committed member of the business community."
Through its Bob's Outreach program, the retailer will make a $5,000 donation to the Carle Place School District.
The release also said Bob's will expand further next year but did not disclose locations.
