L'ÉPIPHANIE, Quebec — Industry veteran Shelly Ross has been named vice president of sales for solid-wood case goods producer Meubles Poitras, a new position for the company.
Ross is responsible for sales efforts throughout North America and reports to President Denis Charest.
Ross most recently was vice president of sales and marketing for Shermag, which is in the process of being acquired by BDM Furniture, the parent company of Bermex, Dinec and Mi-Di.
She joined Shermag in 1995 and four years later was named director of major accounts in Canada. She also served as marketing and showroom coordinator and customer service manager before taking the sales and marketing post.
In a statement, Charest said Ross will be a great asset as Poitras continues to look for growth on both sides of the border.
