HIGH POINT — Occasional and accent importer Ultimate Accents will make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project with the purchase of each Americana blanket chest the company sells.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-based Wounded Warrior Project is a charity that helps military men and women injured in the line of duty.

Ultimate Accents said in a press release that it won't make any margin on the item and negotiated with its factory in China, which agreed to reduce the cost of the chest. In addition, the company's sales force has agreed to donate its commission on the item.

Ultimate Accents is also challenging its retailers to make a matching donation.

"Our combined efforts will help this organization provide care, assistance, training, advocacy and support to our wounded men and women," the company said. "This is just a small token for the appreciation we all feel for our armed forces and their dedication to our country and freedom."

Also this market, Ultimate Accents is promoting new hand-painted furniture pieces from designers including Jodie Davis and Associates, Brandau Design Studios and Ramon Santiago.
