Scott Perry to direct online marketing for Jerome's Furniture

SAN DIEGO — Jerome's Furniture has hired Scott Perry, former owner of EverythingFurniture.com, as director of online marketing, a new position for the Top 100 company.
Perry is responsible for "all things digital," the company said in a release, with a key focus on strategy, e-commerce, merchandising, the consumer experience and data analysis.
Perry was owner and president of EverythingFurniture.com, which was launched in 2001 and acquired by onewayfurniture.com in 2011, and "has a proven track record for grand success," Jerome's said in a release. INC Magazine listed the ecommerce retailer No. 46 on its Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies List based on a three-year growth rate of 1,204%.
Perry is from a furniture family and grew up sweeping floors at manufacturer Riverside Furniture in Arkansas.
"Scott has an invaluable 18 years of experience in the online marketing of furniture. That level of expertise is rarely found in our industry," said Lee Goodman, Jerome's president and CEO.
"Back in 1995 most people were still saying no one would ever buy furniture off the Internet. It'll never work. Scott went out and made it work. That's the kind of guy we like on our team. To have such an expert, in-house and focused on this channel has us all very excited about the opportunity."
Perry said he was excited to join Jerome's, noting, "The ability to have the resources, credibility, and brand of Jerome's to serve as the backbone of an e-commerce platform is a dream come true."
