Coast to Coast, artist William Mangum team for accent furniture line

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Coast to Coast Imports has signed a licensing agreement with North Carolina watercolor artist William Mangum for its new Carolina Preserves accent furniture collection.
The collection, to debut at next month's High Point Market, initially it will have 21 items including chairside tables, chests, cabinets, credenzas and consoles.
Pieces take inspiration from Mangum's art and affinity for North Carolina landscape and tradition. They will be on display along with his artwork in the Coast to Coast showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, C-1103.
"The timing of the program is excellent" Coast to Coast CEO Andy Stein said in a press release. "We continue to experience dynamic growth and it fits our long term strategy of continued diversification with our family of brands."
Klaussner Furniture also has a license with Mangum for a Carolina Preserves collection of case goods and upholstery, which also will be introduced at the fall market.
Mangum published a book in 2000 called "Carolina Preserves" containing 130 original paintings of North Carolina scenes and essays by well-known Tar Heel state personalities including Michael Jordan, Richard Petty, Elizabeth Dole and Ruth and Billy Graham.
Over a 35-year career Mangum has created more than 3,000 original paintings, eight books and two films. Also advocate for the homeless, the Honor Card program initiated by Mangum in 1988 has raised more than $4.5 million in funding.
