DANBURY, Conn. — Ethan Allen has hired Dave Moore as vice president and chief brand officer.
Moore "has spent his career creating iconic advertising for many of the world's most famous brands, including AT&T, Sprint, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, Motorola, Coke, and GM as well as Ethan Allen," the Danbury-based Top 100 maker and seller of upscale home furnishings said in a release.
Most recently Moore was co-chief creative officer for Manhattan-based ad agency AFG&. Prior to that he was executive creative director at McCann-Erickson New York, where one of his accounts was Ethan Allen. Moore also was chief creative officer at McCann Detroit, where he oversaw one of the first viral videos, the award-winning Tiger Trap for Buick starring Tiger Woods.
In the release, Moore said he always hoped his path and the Ethan Allen brand's would cross again.
"I love interior design, I love the immediacy of retail, and I love the culture at Ethan Allen," he said. "It's a perfect fit."
"Ethan Allen has been here for over 80 years, but we must do everything we can to make sure our brand is as relevant today and tomorrow as it has always been," said Ethan Allen Chairman, President, and CEO Farooq Kathwari, adding that Moore will help with this effort.
