BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Chair Market, a domestic maker of chairs, tables and stools, has opened a 140,000-square-foot factory showroom here to better serve the tri-state area.
In addition to supplying the residential market, the Chair Market also sells its wares, 60% of which are produced here, to churches, schools, restaurants, hospitals and hotels.
The company says its vast selection-more than 1,400 different styles-serves to set it apart from competitors. It says it also provides customers with many custom options. In seating, for example, it manufacturers more than 800 styles of custom seating in a variety of finishes ranging from wood to metal.
After manufacturing products for more than 33 years, it opened its doors to the public a year ago this month.
