PLANO, Texas - Specialty sleep producer Dormeo Octaspring has hired former Tempur-Pedic executive Dany Sfeir as its chief marketing officer for North American operations, a new position.
Sfeir has more than 20 years of experience in senior level brand-building work at advertising agencies and helped launch the Tempur-Pedic brand in the United States. He joins a number of bedding veterans hired to build the Dormeo Octaspring brand in the United States.
"Dany's exceptional ability to build brand awareness in the U.S. mattress industry is well documented and we look forward to him creating even more ‘marketing magic' with Dormeo Octaspring in the U.S. and Canada," said Kym Bramm, CEO of Studio Moderna Brands International, which includes Dormeo Octaspring in its brand portfolio. "Our global success is driven by a first class group of international multi-channel marketers, so Dany's appointment is the perfect fit."
Most recently, Sfeir has been a branding and marketing consultant. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of marketing for Tempur-Pedic worldwide as well as president of Tempur-Pedic Direct Response Inc., the subsidiary of the company responsible for direct marketing, sales and advertising.
Earlier, he worked at marketing firms such as BMG Direct Marketing, Next Step Marketing and Ogilvy & Mather Direct, and was a marketing and advertising executive at companies such as NordicTrack, Jostens-Direct and Select Comfort.
