Furniture First adds three retailer members

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Furniture First has added three retailer members to the national buying group.
The group's board OK'd the addition of Ross Furniture of Dover, N.H., Rudd Furniture of Dothan, Ala., and Stone Barn Furniture of Lebanon, Pa.
Ross Furniture has been family-owned and operated for more than 70 years in downtown Dover. Rudd Furniture has been in business since 1945, serving locations in Montgomery, Ala., and Dothan. Stone Barn Furniture was founded in Lebanon, Pa., in 1972 and carries name brand furniture as well as locally made Amish furniture.
"Furniture First's Membership has grown substantially in recent years and that has allowed us to provide more benefits to our members. We have over 140 home furnishings and service programs that bring our members huge benefits. That's what makes us the sought-after buying group to belong to," said the group's president, Bill Hartman. "Furniture First's rebates, extra discounts, exclusive merchandise, private labels, consumer newsletters, fact tags, bulletin board and individual member consulting allow our members to have a significant competitive edge over their competition."
The 19-year-old home furnishings and mattress only buying group says it has 205 retailer members with 427 storefronts in 47 states and $1.6 billion in retail sales.
